Wholesaler came in to talk to us about these little boilers.
Anyone have anything positive or negative to say about these boilers.
Please advise.
Thanks,
Justin

Lots of
good things about them: quiet, reliable; we've installed a few of them over the past few years and have had NO (none) callbacks.
Bad things: a bit of a learning curve to install them, their combi unit only produces 3.5 gpm of hot water; not much.

How Critical
Have you had any problems with the combi unit domestic hot water scaling up or anything like that. I guess once you have a couple under the belt what is a reasonable amount of time to install one assuming all your zones are on a board waiting.
Thanks,
Justin0 -
No problems
with scale, but our water doesn't have a lot of minerals in it.
Depending on how far away you have to daylight the flue, it takes me about a day to install and I'm slow.

We had a job experience DHW water temp fluctuation, and we're working on figuring out why.

check ghost flow
had a system once that had a large area to heat and when the zones called for heat they actually stole the heat from the domestic tank when it called for heat the system had no domestic priority , we rearranged the controls and installed a proper injection mixing system to eliminate the problem0 -
Combi boiler
We have used this type of boiler a lot here in the UK. They are not good for larger homes as they only produce hot water at a slow flow rate.
