Zone or Direct?

I am re-posting this question, hoping someone can help.
I'm considering a hot water zone off the boiler, which Dan describes in his "We've Got Steam Heat" book. He mentions an alternate method called indirect. What are the pros/con and why choose one over the other?
Thanks!

The difference is..........
with a direct system you are using boiler water which over time picks up the "stuff" from the system and tends to wear out pumps plus high water temp.when making steam will also do this. With in-direct system clean water is being used and you can control the water temp. better. When ever I do one I try to use the in-direct system if possible. Hope this helps John@Reliable
