The Bean Returns - DF

Robert Bean was our guest speaker at the RPA-WAC's chapter meeting last Wednesday evening in McLean, VA. PAH (Dave Yates) and Jay Middleton drove all the way from York, PA to join us. We're going to have to make them honorary chapter members as they have both attended most of our events.

Our long distance voyager award goes to Moses Fischman of E N Y Mechanical out of Brooklyn, NY. Moses braved the Beltway during rush hour to hear Mr. Bean's message. I first met Mr. Fischman at the RPA show in Sacramento and enjoyed the opportunity to renew that friendship.

After dinner, Mr. Bean educated the members on the economic and market forces that impact the way we do business. As Dan Holohan says, "Robert sees things most of us miss". How right you are, Dan.

Our chapter President, Jeff "Riles" Riley did a great job securing great facilities at the McLean Hilton and filling the room when we were in the midst of a heat wave and most contractors were still running calls at 7 pm. We are all busy but it is so shortsighted not to make the time to listen to the wisdom of Robert Bean.
