Manifold mounting

I know the flowmeter manifold is position sensitive, but the valved and valveless should be OK to mount in whatever position looks nice, right? Lets say my tubing comes in from upstairs, instead of making a big sweeping loop and attaching to the bottom of the manifold, I could turn the manifold over and attach to the top?
Or is there a another way that looks nice?

I've done it that way before...
and never had a problem. But of course, I've never used the new manifolds with the flow meters either. So long as you're not working against the flow meter problem, I think you'd be OK.

vertical position
I have used the standard manifolds in the vertical position
rather than the horizontal. The directions for the motorized
zone valves only show mounting straight up or sideways.0
