The Old Days

Before they had hydronic controls, you had to cobble the transformer, relays, clock timer and circuit breaker together; then, when something went wrong, it was a real chore to find the problem.

These day, with integrated controls and diagnostic lights, it's much simpler. I'm looking forward to Internet accessible controls.

You're trying to trick me, but it won't work. See that Honeywell zone valve; you never use those, do you? All I've seen was B & G.

BTW, I just saw Nikki Miller yesterday; she said to say hello. Her Polaris and Laars are still going strong.

    Alan!

They already exist. I've been installing & FIXING the modern?? energy management & automation systems for 20 years. Before I came to the wall this evening I was running set up for tommorow's scheduals for 3 different large buildings. They do sell these systems for residential but they are VERY expensive and quite frankly their NOT easy (nor worth the $$). It's a little more than just indicator & diagnostic lights. It is however quite enjoyable, sure beats straight line plumbing any day. I'm acually a relic when it comes to many of the systems in my charge for most are still pneumatic. ...Robert O'Connor/NJ

robert was wondering who you work for because I also live in NJ and install controls (some pneumatic but mostly DDC) and my father has worked for honeywell for over 28 years in the new construction pneumatic controls division in central NJ.
