on a letter that could be dropped off to homes being constructed near jobs you are working on? here is something I, along with Ellen and another famous writer came up with.

Anyone else have ideas or a similar piece?

Greetings!

Your neighbors are getting ready to enjoy the luxury of warm floors! I’m working with Cunningham Builders, installing a radiant floor system.

You know how uncomfortable cold floors can be? Middle of the night bathroom calls can make your toes curl! Instead, imagine your bare feet on comfortable warm floors. Imagine shower walls and floors in your bathroom radiating warmth. Warm comfortable kitchen floor, too! Or stretching out on a warm floor to watch TV or read.

That’s radiant floor warming. That’s what I do.

You see, when your feet are warm, you’re naturally more comfortable. (If you hunt or spend time outdoors you know this) The air in the home stays crisper and cleaner. Radiant heat is very efficient, so you can save fuel dollars while enjoying ultimate comfort. Basement floors are an excellent application for radiant heat also.

We can do one room, or the entire home. Retrofit applications are also possible, should you decide later on to add radiant comfort.

Have you read about radiant heat in magazines, or seen it on home improvement TV shows? Would you like to a test drive? I can show you a system in your neighbor’s home, or many other local jobs, both residential and commercial applications. Call me at 417-753-3998 or
hotrodradiant@aol.com for more info.

Thanks

What on earth would you want MORE work for:))) you must be like me praying for Tweesday a day between tuesday and wedensday where you can squeeze all the rest of the work youve got to do:) news of bad work travels like wild fire good work seldom breezes past the door step however once a few GC know your work...day off sounds like some term from a forgien language :))) heres one idea that worked for me and i had no intention of anything in the way of more work comming out of it. I showed a home owner how to use my wirsbo tool and lent it to him helped him lash up a viessmann :) now hes taken to building houses just to play with the wirsbo tool and lash up viessmann:))) :))) and i gotta say he really seems to remember me:))) hes building three houses this year:)

    Neighbor letter

Your letter would be immeasurably more effective if it were written by the neighbor rather than by you. Use all the same stuff, just have it in their voice and over their signature. Also, send it in an invitation sized, plain envelope with the addressee's name in a handwriting font printed right on the envelope (no labels) and, if they'll let you, get return address labels or a stamp with your customer's address on it. It has about a 100% chance of being opened and read.

    Letter?

Whatever you do, sign the letter, every letter, personally. You'll be suprised how many people will discount even a great letter just because someone has not physically signed it. Also, pay the extra freight for postage. Yet again, even the best of corespondants get chucked (many do without even opening them) when they see that 1st Class BULK written on it......Robert O'Connor/NJ...ps: Nice write ups there in PM MAG.
