It's a disease...

I was in the local feed store today and spotted an old Arco snowman type boiler over in the corner. Too bad it isn't still in service but the funny thing is I spent more time looking at the heating plant than I did looking for cat food (my original mission). Is there a cure?

    No cure

So was it steam or hot-water? What type of radiation? etc. etc. etc. ;-)

    Must admit...

...I go to real estate open houses (OLDER homes ONLY) to see:

    1) How it compares to my old house.

    2) To see the heating system. If it's hydronic I head towards the kitchen to find the basement door. It's fun to try to figure out how the house, bath(s) and kitchen have changed based on changes to the piping...

    Sorry...

I didn't get any pictures as I don't have a digital camera. For the record it's no longer hooked up to anything and in a casual look around I didn't see any radiators. I traced the piping to a plug in each end about 3 feet from the boiler. It may have been coal fired at one point as there was what looked like a firebox door on the front but it may have been something else as it was pretty high up. But it sure looked neat about 10 feet high and about 3 feet in diameter but unfortunately about half covered in feed bags. If you get to Jackson Michigan and want to see it go to Howard's Feed and look to the right when you enter.

    infection

the wall is an addiction which can be treated by attending trade shows and training seminars where you can speak to other adicts or recruit new ones , if everyone does it then its normal and no longer a addiction (resistance is futile) Nron
