So at what point do you tell the home owner of this 2 yr old munchkin but only in service for 5 months that they need a new fan? I have played with the fan switch a few times and I got a call tonight that it is doing it again. What else can i check? Help Please, Mike

Silly questions...
and I feel kind of silly asking them, but are you sure the installlation is well within the venting capabilities of the boiler?
Have you replaced the pressure switch yet?
Is this an area with a lot of wind?
Are both the exhaust and combustion air terminus' located on the same side of the house?
Was the boiler exposed to construction dust during its first two years of life? Sheet rock dust is AMAZING where it can get to...and what problems it can cause.
Have you spoken to anybody at the factory about this problem? Jeff Cook or Chuck or Guy?
They WILL get it resolved. And if it's their fault, they will take care of you. They have taken care of me on the rare occasions that I've had to depend on them.

I would
upgrade to the 925 control and eliminate the pressure switch completely.
Talk to the guys(or gal) at HTP.

Unfortunately even good products occasionally have issues. Yes there are outside factors that can affect the blower, but there is also the possibility that it is simply a bad blower. If the electronics within the blower fail , it will run continuously, holding the APS closed (F16). Electronics fail, and power surges and brownouts can certainly play into that.
That boiler already has the 925 control package.0 -
Thanks Guy
for the help today. I ordered a new APS today and will have it on hand if she calls again. Thanks again , Mike0 -
