I've just finished watching my last episode-third series of the Sopranos. My good lady got me them for my birthday. The TV series was great and even better on D.V.D.

It was well made and the people at MBO should be very proud of their production. I think it gave me a good insight into life in the U.S. and how similar it is to the U.K. No, I don't mean we all go around in flash suits and bump people off like gangsters. I mean the people are portrayed as having a strong family background, with all the problems that entails.

Tony Soprano the main caricture is the 'Godfather' and like many of us, he's the boss. I could not help but like that big guy. He has. as I've said, family problems with a young family and a long-suffering wife(where would we all be without one of them?). Then there's his other 'family', now we are getting close to my heart. His second family/business gives him lots of grief and all the interplay between the actors is fantastic.

I guess one thing I have learned from my hours of pleasure sitting in front of the telly - engrossed. He treated both families roughly the same and I don't mean 'roughly'!

If you get the time, park yourself in front of the TV and watch this series. It gave me hours of laughter, joy and entertainment.

Thanks for reading.
Kind regards.
