Heavy snowfall warning for
Westlock-Barrhead-Athabasca continued
Heavy wet snow is forecast over the next 12 to 18 hours.


An intense disturbance tracking across the northern plain states will continue to spread snow across southern and central Alberta today. High River reported 12 cm, Calgary 8 cm, and Red Deer Reported 5 cm so far. Edmonton has reported 7 cm and a further 10 to 20 cm is expected by Thursday morning. The snow will continue tonight over central Alberta and 15 to 30 cm is expected to fall by Thursday morning. The snow will taper to flurries by Thursday afternoon.

    Look on the bright side.

    It won't be around too long ! Sorry to break it to you, but here on the "gold coast" of Ma. today, we woke up to 59° F temps this A.M. It seems to have cooled off to about 55 ° F by this afternoon. When I return from Baltimore on Sunday they're saying to expect OVER 70° for Monday . Spring HAS sprung!

    You may be getting snow...

    ...but here in Southeast Missouri we are BONE dry and even for us the temps have been strange. Light frost outside of town the day-before-yesterday and 80+° forecast for day-after-tomorrow!
