we have outside air direct through insulated 4",a metal stand with 2" couplers welded to the bottom of that plate. everything is realatively kosher we went caleppi zone and maybe a spirovent mighta been a callepi whatever we have the expansion tank on a 6 foot piece of 1/2"rehau get this ..with wirsbo 1/4 turn 1/2 X1/2 threaded by wirsbo pex on the expansion tank that way there is a greater degree of freedom as to where to place a tank.there are a few minor technicalities ... we have the 5strand wire comming out of a piece of 1"copper with holes drilled along the uprights to Tidy up the wiring.it can be expanded for the radiant in the future on either side of the header.it is valved off on the grunfoss with the purge valve type of flanged 1/4 turn...it is relatively clean for the future..at least we have hot water for the domestic with its backflow and all in all it is looking good and we Know what we are working with.
