General Store in 1903..in Maymont, Saskatchewan. Was one of the first buildings in town...Railways hadn't even gone through at that time...they hauled the timbers up from the North Saskatchewan River and hand sawed them...I'll be telling some great stories passed down over the last three generations and they're all relevant to your business today...yesssir were gonna have some fun.

...and what have we learned...
100 years later this marvel of technology has more technolgy power than most machines with four wheels...I can't wait to drive this years model! Slap on some Bruce and Little Stephen, pop open some spring water...get the air & couch set up - keep your eyes open for the skunks...sit back and watch the computer!
back in the day of Great Granddad and Grandpa - over 50% of the population in the 'civilized world' was employed in the agricultural industry...today its less than 5% yet the human population has grown exponentially over the same period all the while producing excess food...what are the lessons? Change is like the deep ocean currents, very powerful, virtually impossible to control yet for those tradesmen paying attention a source of energy to surf on...bring your boards knarly dudes ... times are a changin' - and that will never change.0 -
farm hand
Is that how you hitch a ride on one of them Saskatchewan Cadillacs! Arn't you supposed be in front diggen up those big glacier boulders that keep grow'n and breed'en. Thats how I remember spending my holidays as a kid on my Grandfathers farm in Southern Saskatchewan every summer.

He learnt dat when he was knee high to a steel head.

Nice
Just think of how many people working by hand it would take to keep up with it. What is the crop? I can't see enough of the head to tell.
Last night we were cleaning out my wife's grandparent's house and I came accross a stack of old Popular Mechanics Magizines, here's a farming article from the June 1942 issue.
Tonight we're going to start on the old plumbing shop. Volumes of history in there I'll try to take pictures if I can.

For those who don't know
Tim is referring to Fords grilled partridge technique...strips them clean and tenderizes em' without having to pull out the pea shooter...and brother Doug taught me everything I know. Tim, next time your up, I expect you to share a few of your own bird hunting secrets sans the shotgun maybe ya got a hawk or two up your sleeve!

I wish
I could be there!Retired and loving it.0 -
Beter luck
Robert is the only guy that I know that gets more birds with his truck than he does with his gun. Nothing like those free range, auotmotively prosessed partridge eh? In this case they are already tenderized and grilled.

Very nice....Southside
Johnny "Lyons" and the Asbury Jukes.
Yes, The Boss and Miami Steve VanSant.
And RB's reference to Clarence Clemons and the Red Bank Rockers.
Ah, the fine music of the Jersey Shore.
What about Gary "U.S." Bonds and "This Little Girl" and Clarence Clemons' work on Sax on the Michael Stanley Bands' "He Can't Love You"?
SteamHead I am very impressed as a Baltimorian with such an appreciation for classic Jersey Shore tunes. Ever hit the Stone Pony?

I think the Big Man also played
on Aretha Franklin's hit "Freeway of Love" where once again she showed all those wanna-be divas just how it's done.
I have the Gary U.S. Bonds records with the E Street Band too- they're also classics. Bruce and the band played some of those songs on the 1980-81 tour. Have you heard the Ronnie Spector (former lead singer of the Ronettes) record that Miami Steve produced in the late 1970s? It has a version of "Say Goodbye to Hollywood" that completely outdid Billy Joel's original.
Don't forget Meatloaf's "Bat out of Hell" record that included the E Street Band's pianist Roy Bittan and drummer Max Weinberg on about half the songs. Those two saved that album from sinking into total cheesiness.
No, I've never been to Asbury Park- one of these days I'll go. Maybe we can have a Wetstock there?
