Supposedly I won some lottery and in order to claim the prize, I have to pay them 800 Euros. These people must really expect us to be truely stupid.

But as P T Barnum said, there is a sucker born every minute.

I needed a freight quote the other day. I googled on "freight quote" and selected a reseller of discounted quotes. I emailed them with the origin, destination, and weight. I included the dollar amount ($213)of a computer calulated quote from a well known carrier.

I got an email back quoting $75 and a credit application form requesting my TIN, SS#, and bank account #. What a waste of time. Who would fall for such a scam? Certainly not anyone who actually has a bank account.
