I am looking for a detector that has a built in relay so i can wire the unit to a secondary monitering system. This will prevent having the unit alarm in the mechanical room when my family is upstairs sleeping and unable to hear it.I have not had luck finding this so far.
Thanks
Rod

    co monitor location

The proper location for a co monitor is in the hall area near your bedrooms. I recomend the co experts model. It is the only one that will alarm at low levels

Thanks for your reply brian. My home has a automation system that allerts me of any problems in the home both onsite and remotly.I have 12 smoke and heat detectors and want to install 6 co moniters. There is no reason i should just monitor the sleeping areas when I can do the whole house.I just need to find a unit the will latch on alarm and send a signal to the monitor panel.

    CO for security system

A company called Quantum makes alarms for 12volt security systems under the name COSTAR. They also makes an equipment cutout unit. They are the higher level 70ppm but they should adapt to what you have.

I must defer to Jim Davis. He is the one who taught me. He has opened my eyes to many things regarding co. Good luck,

They are associatd with Quantum and have the ability to shut off an electrically operated equipment if CO is detected. This is not however a low level detector system.

    CO Alarm

Rod, another company you might want to check into in Macurco. They also make alarms for security systems. I used them mostly for ventilation controllers for commercial systems, but they have residential equipment that is very dependable. www.macurco.com
