Enjoyed 8 days in London. No rain and two beautiful, sunny days.
The little pipes (3/8"?) supplying big iron rads were interesting. Of course I saw LOTS of TRVs--mostly Danfoss.
No problem with pidgeons--someone told me the people who had the "concession" for their food were recently bought out...
Public museums are absolutely overwhelming--and I've been to many and lived in Washington D.C. (Smithsonian) for most of my Marine enlistment... I could have spent the entire time in any one--art, science, natural, manmade. Didn't have time to make it to the Steam Museum west of the city. Spent at least two hours in the "Temperature and Heat" section of the Science Museum.
New York City is expensive. San Francisco, California is very expensive. London is atrociously expensive.
Bought a bottle trap for my Egyptian pedestal sink, but couldn't find replacement flapper for Mamoli toilet guts. Did hear though that your symphonic toilets will soon be "outlawed" because of EU...
Got a great new mail slot to replace my comparitively cheap quality but high cost Baldwin. Found Cremone bolts for my French doors at a price that I could afford--even considering poor exchange rate.
Henry VIII armor was interesting... It would be banned from public view in the U.S.

Only Europeans
can afford to live in Europe!
Wasn't that a line from an old comedy routine?

Mike.
I'm pleased you had a good time in London - and no rain!
Yes London is very expensive.
You spoke of Danfoss TRV's. How much would you pay for one?
We pay £5.00 ($8.85?) for one, now is Europe expensive?
We use loads of them. But hay this is Scotland where we have short arms and deep pockets!
Regards.

I love the short arms and deep pockets comment. It made
for a second of smile on a busy Tuesday.0
