    In a nutshell

    Senor outside "reads" the air temp. and tells the burner how much to run. Lets say a house with 100' of baseboard that was designed to run with 180* water when outside temp was 10, but on days that outside temp was 40 you don't need that 180* water so now burner would only heat water to 150* and inside would still be warm. This type of system works good with your other post. Hope this helps John@Reliable
