    CO

    Hey Mark!

Great question. Usually, I go in AFTER the fire department has been there, not before. At any measurable CO levels I recommend the occupants go to the hospital to get checked out. First of all, a hospital is the only place I know of where blood O2 levels can be checked. As you well know, CO levels can build up quickly in the bloodstream. Is the ratio 50/1 on O2 required to remove CO from the hemoglobin?

I'm of the opinion that CO is a lot like arsenic....if a little bit is bad, a whole lot can't be good either.

Second of course is the question of who's getting blamed when the occupants come to their senses just like the person who posted the thread. Somebody's got some 'splaining to do........and I'm not getting named in a lawsuit!
