This goes out to CanuckDale. The other day I commented on your statement about glycols turning to Acetic Acid.
After looking at the research I have on the subject, I found,
You were CORRECT.
Abused glycol that undergoes decomposition, in the course of oxidation, creates lactic, oxalic, formic and Acetic acid.
Reference: Paper presented at the IEA-SHC Task 26 Industry Workshop in Borlange, Sweden, April 3, 2001 by Frank Hillerns, Ph.D.
