GEM PLUMBING AND HEATING PLUGS INTO HVACTV.COM
FOR WEB-BASED EMPLOYEE TRAINING

Providence, RI, March 26, 2004 - Gem Plumbing, one of Southeastern New England's largest plumbing and heating concerns, has teamed up with HVACTV.com for web casting services. Gem is using HVACTV's new "Perfectstream" web casting platform to web cast and archive regular training sessions for its field technicians in all aspects of heating, plumbing, drain cleaning and air conditioning. The training sessions are held at Gem's new facility on Wellington Road, in Lincoln, RI.

Gem Plumbing and Heating provides continual training for its employees in both technical areas of competence as well as professional guidance in areas like customer service, salesmanship and teamwork. Its "Gem University" training area can accommodate up to 60 people at a time and is Internet capable. The company provides training twice a week, on Wednesday evenings and on Saturday mornings, according to Rod Rodriguez, Gem's training director, amounting to 4 hours a week or almost 200 hours a year.

Gem employees can attend one or both session every week or monitor the sessions from their personal computers at home. Remote access, be it live or archival, goes through the backend of the Gem website via password. For live viewing from offsite, Gem employees can actively participate in any training session through a live chat room link.

HVACTV provides real-time interactive web video services to its clients for interactive training, meetings, product demonstrations and public relations presentations. The Perfectstream.tv web casting platform developed by HVACTV delivers affordable web cast services by providing powerful proprietary client-side administration software that enables the client to provide unlimited live and on-demand web casting.

In addition to Gem Plumbing and Heating, Perfectstream.tv clients include Bryant College's Center for International Business and Carrier Corporation.

Perfectstream.tv is a product of Providence, RI-based E-Spex, LLC.

Gem Plumbing and Heating, owned and operated by the Gemma family since 1949, serves all of RI and major areas of southeastern Massachusetts, providing both residential and commercial services. As a leader in its industry, Gem focuses on best practices and innovative world-class customer service, marketing and training programs.
