back again, system ph 10.9 - nitrates 650ppm
I flushed out the system as recom. by menbers of the wall.

the ph and nitrates levels still seem high to me!

Im starting to belive that plan water in the system is the way to go!

What do you think?

Our tap water ph 8.2 - nitrates 350 ppm

    Not sure where to go to ask this question. With regard to changing from a 5

    0# to 75# relief valve. I wondered if you would elaborate on the steps taken to ensure this change was acceptable to the boiler manufacture? Re: MOP of the Boilers etc. Iwould hate to give the impression you could go out in the fied and alter the boiler manufacture's specs without some research. Thanks.

    The boilers

    were rated for 100 psi. No worries.

    I didn't see that article, but...

    The maximum water pressure and minimum capacity of the relief valve are printed on the rating plate of ASME certified boilers. The maximum water pressure is also stamped on each section of cast iron boilers. There is no allowance to exceed this that a manufacturer can provide, that I can think of. Hope this helps.
