Is it necessary to use the Primary /Secondary system when piping a condensing boiler like the WM Ultra, to older fined copper baseboard???

YES!!!!!
Don't even consider doing it any other way!
You have to make SURE that you get good flow through the boiler.
If piped correctly the condensing modulating boilers will work great and give great eficiencies.
If not well......they work like crap!
you was warned!!!

Another question
Thanks Floyd, that solves that problem. Another question, I have 120 feet of baseboard, at 600BTU per foot thats 72000 BTU. The WM 105 Ultra has an I=B=R of 81MBH. Is that a good match??? My house is 1900 square feet, good insulation and windows... I also plan to use a 40 gallon indirect-fired water heater0 -
You need to do a heat load calculation
BAsebaord capacity does not determine heat load. I bet the load for your home is only 40 to 50 thousand, but the only way to know is either calculate it, or check historic usage, which takes someone with experience to use.

listen to floyd, paul
me and him tried to help out someone in another thread - whose contractor would not or could not follow the WM manual - and it's total do-do - it's going to litigation - that bad!!!0
