Would anyone have the catalogued gas input on American Standard 4G-11 series boilers? One of our contractors hasa job to replace two of them promptly in a nursing home in southeast Nebraska, where the rating plates have been removed. My library data does not include the -11. Any help would be appreciated.

How do
How do you know the previous contractor installed the right sized boiler? You know what happens when you ****-u-me!
Maybe your contractor could do a heat loss or at least an installed radiation survey?0 -
good point
we never go by the existing rating plate. there are just too many cowboys out there with that one size fits all mentality0 -
And besides it may be against code...
The more recent codes prohibit the replacement of heating equipment without conducting and following a proper heat loss calculation.

Heat Loss
I calculated the actual heat loss of the building(s)at 1101mbtu. The request for the input of the existing
product(s)was due to questions by the contractor that had to do with venting and gas pipe sizes. We decided that we will be replacing these two with three 399M Munchkins.
Thanks for your replies and concerns.0
