CO takes another (PAH)
Dave Yates (PAH)

Tropical Storm Isabel reached out this past week to take Mr. Arnold. He and his wife had been running a generator following Isabel's wrath. The CO snuck into the crawl space & seeped up into their living spaces. She was dead when the paramedics arrived, he was unconcious. He never regained conciousness & finally succumbed to the ravages of CO poisoning this past week.
The generator had been outside the home.

That's a shame
I'm sorry to hear the news. Sneaky stuff that CO.
I've read that more than 1/2 of CO emergency room poisoning visits are are the result of automonbile exhaust inhalation!

Went out on one last night. Home Depot brand never went off. The CO Experts was an easy sell. Read 3000ppm in the flue. Mad Dog

does anyone
have a course for co testing?I just bought a Testo325 and want to be using it correctly.Book,video,etc. Thanks Dave0 -
Start with Tim McElwain's book
Fundamentals of Gas. It has a good chapter on CO. E-mail Tim at gastc@cox.net and he'll let you know how much it is.Then check out "Carbon Monoxide: a Clear & present Danger" available from Esco Press, www.escoinst.com .Wall regular Rudy Leatherman co-authored this one and did a great job. Rudy is with Bacharach, another test instrument maker, but he won't mind you using his book with your new Testo ;-)

NCI
Jim Davis of NCI does an outstanding course on CO.
I have taken it twice now, and I always get something new out of it.

His course will scare the heck out of you.
