HI guys when the oil lines come from the top of the tank what is the term used to call the tank and why? I know that when the lines come from the bottom of the tank they are called gravity flow, correct? Also what do i look for if i was inspecting a tank? If anyone care to answer please do .

The tank has nothing to do
with the terminology since we're really referencing the fuel unit (pump). The point of reference is the pump shaft, FACT!
If the oil is above the shaft it's a gravity job, if it's below the shaft it's a lift or suction job. Yes, with any job you can have both scenarios, so the primary factor is when the tank is filled.0
