Speaking of Duncan

I hereby hire one Duncan Wilson as an annual employee to consult me on "things".
He will be paid the lump sum of $1.00 per year, which is NOT a reflection of his talent nor capabilites.
He will also be paid as much beer as he can consume in one evening the next time I see him... Which may be as soon as May 21st in Loveland Colorado, if he can make it:-)
We shall see, and there are no locked doors...
Welcome aboard sir! I understand this is not the first time you've worked for this company:-)

Y-all need to hurry over
to the RPA site and check out Duncans post under Reaching Out, on the public bulletin board. Pulitzer Prize material! Well thoughtout and communicated, thanks
A more mellow Dale Picard also "nails" the essence of the discussion, in a number of posts. Glad to have you both in the industry commenting on the big picture.

Behind closed doors.
Really, hot rod? Thank you! I wondered if I was TOO mellow.
But it's true you catch more flies with honey than with vinegar. I guess my role in the discussion is to point out why he gets the reactions he does. The subtle barbs and pointy-stick-pokes may not be so apparent to disengaged observers.
I thought Dale's reply was right on the money, too. Cut through the bull, usin engineering and matter-of-fact language, and was very professional, sticking to the heating and "cooling" aspects. Like you said, he nailed it. Cool headed and professional.
Dale was also into solar heating as I was back in the day. We remember this kind of marketing well. I wouldn't mind seeing the data for "using half the energy conventional systems do". Heard that all the time about solar. "Save 40% off your heating bill". Same system for all applications, but didn't matter whether it was a 1400 sq.ft. home or a 3,600 sq.ft. home. Same system, same savings, any house.
Baloney! Show me the btus!
Too bad the discussion is now shielded from the curious public.0 -
I read it for the first time
In the archives, he got what he wanted, controvesy!! with that added sales. played on peoples passion, I guess all that education needs to pay for itself. I feel bad that he exploited this page while dan was away!

I miss your words, Duncan!
You bring some class to this place with your well thought out posts, my friend. You really should hang around more.

P.S. Wendy sends her best and also misses hearing from you.
