Furnace cuts out
Jimbo
Member Posts: 5
I'm dealing with an old Tatcher furnace, gravity fed hot air, no blower. And it just cuts out for no apparent reason. If I hit the reset button, she fires up and runs until the t-stat is satisfied. Or I can simply shut off the power and restart it. But when the t-stat again calls for heat, she will not fire. Any ideas or suggestions on what to look for? Thanks, Jimbo

Have you had a carbon monoxide test performed? I have found many of the older gravity furnaces creating more co than allowed. Might be worth replacing with updated equipment.0 -
Jimbo,
I would have to agree with Eric. That system has way out lived its time and is do for some updating.
