Okay, I get the message about CO. Every time I walk past my Nighthawk in my upstairs hall I think....

Here's an idea:

Can we get together and place a group order for the professional CO detectors for homes and a hand-held CO detector for walking on jobsites? If we got a group order for 20 each or something, would anyone be interested in cutting the cost a bit?

What say you all? Any buyers? Sellers?

    I agree

however, education is still the driving factor here.

The new CO Experts device will not start displaying until 10 ppm is detected. No other unit available will do this. Customers need to be educated about those low level readings, i.e. they do not need to flee the home if they see 10ppm being displayed. Even more important is getting contractors educated about what the low level alarm could be indicating, what the potential sources could be, and how to test them.

You all know how passionate I am about CO, I am even more passionate about education.

As for hand-held CO detectors, I think they should be mandatory. OSHA will get to it sooner or later.

We bring our Bacharach Fyrite-pro 120's in every home we enter. That is our hand held model. We also have belt clip type monitors manufactured by UEI. One of those alerted us to a MAJOR problem in a basement we were installing a new boiler in.

Count me in for buying CO alarms. I do not need any new testing equipment, but I always need more CO Experts alarms.

    OOoookay....

Now we have some interest in buyers. Any sellers?

As for the education, I'm not thinking of spreading these around too much, I was thinking of wallies installing them in their own homes, and we're a pretty savy lot. Not likely to go screeming into the night in our skivvies at the first sight of positive readings....

But I'm open to anything, especially in making this attractive enough to a vendor to sell them to us for a few bucks off. I'd buy one for myself, my son and my son-in-law.

    Any sellers?
