who is the Program Manager at the Canadian Institute of Plumbing & Heating sent me an email that I'd like to share with you.

Good morning Dan,

I thought this might be of interest to you.

Attached is a press release that was sent out on March 4th regarding the launch of the Canadian Hydronics Council's new logo and "Ultimate Comfort" brochure. I am attaching the electronic versions of the new CHC logo and images from the new "Ultimate Comfort" brochure.

I will also be sending you copies in the mail. We're really excited about these marketing tools. They promote the intangibles that you spoke of in your most recent article in Plumbing and Mechanical.

To which I say, WELL DONE!
Best regards,
Retired and loving it.

National Institue of Manufactured Plumbing Heating Systems

and the acronym would be NIMPHS. This would attract either a large population of male hydronic shoppers, or a large group of fly fishermen...

    New Promotion

For every heating system sold you get a large double-double and a box of Timbits from Tim Hortons ;)

And yet the prevailing minds turned down the new CSA code on hydronics because it was too tehnical. I do have a new # 5 rod that needs attention - maybe it is time to go fishing.

Makes me wish I was plying my trade in Canada. A place where true warmth and comfort are valued obviously.

    Double-Double and Timbits?

Do they cut off your legs before lunch.

By the way, I always wondered if Timbits weren't a bit sacreligious, since Tim hit an abutment in his Pantera on the QEW.

    Available to US contractors?

Will CHC sell the brochures and posters to those of us here in the States?

    Focus

As a yougster I used to go up in Ontario to fish and was amazed at the way they were influenced more by Europe than the US. This is another example of a proud people who know what has to be done to provide comfort, conserve energy and protect their environment.
As in Europe the Canadians tend to look at things long term not taking the cheap route, Wirsbo and others filtered through Canada to the US,hopefully some of their common sense will help us focus more accurately.
The looming spike in fuel prices will only benefit those of us who want the most efficient heating systems.
As usual "Chief Wethead" keeps us informed!

    Thanks Dan and Constance
