The Bag Pipe Players

the bagpipe players are tuning up and the green dye folks are filling last minute orders. Old folks like myself are dusting off their Irish tapes and records. The orders for the special corn beef and cabbage are in and all is getting ready for another celebration of the grand day.
Memories of past St Pats day come flooding back and bring a smile to the face. Cities like San Francisco, New York and Chicago are busy with their annual preparations. And memories of departed friends and relatives that made this day the day it is are remembered with great fondness.
All in all it is my favorite day of the year, bar none. So, may I be the first to wish you a long used toast. "May you be in heaven a 1/2 hour before the devil knows you are dead".

We're all celts here, just some local variations. I grew up square dancing in the southern Appalachians - my Galway friends think it's a gas....
So lift your glass to the diaspora, from Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall & Wales to New South Wales & points between.0
