CO Panel at ISH

The CO Panel discussion at the ISH-NA meeting in Boston this fall has been set. The event will take place twice on Thursday, October 14th. The expert panel includes Mark Hunt, Timmie McElwain, Jim Davis, Rudy Leatherman and George Lanthier. I will be the moderator. This should be a great discussion with this all-star lineup. We will be talking about education, testing, training, etc.
Messe Frankfurt (show sponsor) has asked me to give a name to the panel discussion. Maybe my Wallie friends can throw out some suggestions and we can vote on the best. I'd like to involve all of you since I suspect that many of you will want to attend this meeting -- right?
I will also be giving a separate seminar on poor school IAQ and hope that some of you can attend that, too.

Very clever -- I like it the best although there are a few close seconds.0 -
Hmmm
After reading a series of posts over at HVAC-talk, I am inclined to call the discussion, "The good, the bad, and the deadly."
The only thing "Carbon Monoxide" and "Common Sense" have in common is "C" and "O". After that, it all flies out the window.
Sitting in Jim Davis's class last week, I had the opportunity to listen to the other contractors there. One was kind enough to inform the class that Burnham boilers DO NOT produce CO,................EVER. (He did this when Jim was out of the room with a group of guys going over analyzers) This same guy kept falling asleep during class.
The fireman and the policman that attended are now better trained than 99% of PHVAC contractors.
I think a catchy name for the panel is a good idea. Unfortunately, all I can currently come up with is, "You better attend this discussion you idiot, before you kill someone". Not very catchy is it?
I wonder how many oil guys will blow it off because, "Oil doesn't produce CO"?
I wonder how many gas guys will miss it because, "We use chimney liners"?
While I have been fortunate not to have seen actual bodies, I have seen far too many obituaries.
Timmie posted here once that I "make a lot of noise". He is right, and you ain't heard nothin' yet.
John, I want to thank you for making this happen. You are a good man.
Isn't it funny.............Boston is where the American revolution started. Now a few patriots will gather again to plead their case. All you tories take note! The last bunch of loyalists didn't fare too well!

I have used some of the suggestions which are good, but as John says we really need to grab attention. My first thought this morning is "CO Nose No Rules!"0 -
