German printing press needs hot water (PAH)

Ran into an interesting and captivating brain teaser yesterday. The printing press in question needs to have hot water (170 F) circulated through the rollers to cure an applied process that is added to the paper.

They're currently using a tube shell type heat exchanger with a number of three-phase elements. Lots of issues with the piping and pumping arrangement, which are causing cavitation and air lock-outs.

Once they dig up the old specs, it'll be time to determine how many Btu's are needed to maintain the 170 F. Short-cut is to cross over the watts to Btu's, but might be over kill.
