Radiant slab insulation

My son is doing a radiant project in Chicago. His contractor is proposing to lay Wirsbo 1/2" sheet insulation that has aluminum foil on one side. I have never used this product. I usually use 1" foam board except around the perimiter and then I use 2" foam board. What are the pros and cons of this Wirsbo product?

I'd question the \"sheet insulation\"
Jim,
I've done lots of work in Boulder. I'm sorry we never met while I was there.
My Wirsbo catalog doesn't even show this product. From personal experience, I'd go with the foam board. R value is what we want here. Nearly zero reflectivity without an air gap. JMHO

Wirsbo insulation
I would call Wirsbo. I don't think that they sell insulation.
