Malleable iron fittings

Just curious, what is the difference between standard class 150# malleable iron fittings and class 300.I know the class 300 is stronger and can withstand higher temp and stress but how aare these fittings produced differently that makes it so.Thanks.

The wall thickness of the fitting

is thicker on the higher schedule.

Somewhat like schedule 40 (standard) and schedule 80 (extra thick) side walls in black pipe.
