hi
our heat is set to any where between 70-75 we keep waking up to 60 degrees and it won't go up
for some reason when we come home in the evening (after flicking the switch, in the am) it is up again at 70
but then the next morning it is at 60 again
any ideas
thanks
shonna

    no heat

You must have gas-fired equipment cause you wouldn't be able to reset it by 'flicking the switch' if it was oil. What you likely have going on there is called "false safety lock-out". You need to call a service company to come look at it. Should be a relatively simple repair but not one you should attempt yourself.

    what do you have....

for a boiler/furnace? Sounds to me like you have a safty that keeps reseting itself...I would get a pro to look at it. It could be a sign that someting is not right and needs to be addressed before something seriously wrong happens... this has happened w/ Trianco Heatmakers to me brfore...kpc

    Thermostat

This use to happen at my old house and turned out to be the programmable thermostat I bought for my gas furnace. After extended off times it didn't want to come back on again- I think the internal relay was sticking. A few times it even stuck on and I came home to a 90 degree house!!!!!!
