Subject: What...

is the configuration of the series string. How many feet of BBR, where. I.E. Boiler, 10 feet 1/2" PEX, 7 feet BBR with 300 BTUH load, 10 feet PEX, 15 feet BBR, 7500 BTUH load and so on and so forth. I can use Siggys Wonderful Software to tell you what will happen, but need a lot of data on your part, including room loads in BTUH.

from the boiler there would be about 30 feet of pex. Then 13 feet of slant fin 30 7,107 btu. Then about 8 feet 1/2" pex feeding 15' of slant fin 30 8800 BTU. Then 8 feet 1/2" pex feeding 11 ' slant fin 80 7600 BTU. Then 20' of 1/2" pex feeding 4' slant fin 80 2500 btu. 8' 1/2" pex feeding 5' slant fin 30 and then 30'1/2" pex back to boiler.

    Frank.

The 1/2 inch PEX will work. However, your baseboard lengths in the order you gave them to me are 15 ft, 20 ft, 16 ft and 6 feet. I assumed neglible pressure drop through the boiler, and a Grundfos 1542 on speed 2 is just about perfect.

You are on the jagged edge of velocity at 4.1 feet per second.

    It should work just fine.

    You're welcome...

the increase in baseboard lengths is due to the decreasing fluid temperature as it flows through the series circuit.

As a possible alternative, you could consider using a four port manifold, and then all 4 BBR's would see the same entering water temperature, and the amount of board could be lowered. PEX is cheap.
