I=B=R

Looking for some feed back on I=B=R classes. I took the course in 91 or 92 and thought it was well worth the time and money. After shutting down for some time they have started up the class again. I wanted to refer a friend of mine to the class but have heard some negative feed back on the new course format. Anybody have an opinion? Keith

    I recently sent two of my guys to the class, it was pricey at $400 but well worth it.
    Interestingly, one of the men, an apprentice, seemed to pick up a great deal from the class while the other, a mechanic, said it moved too fast for him.

    The way they described the class to me sounded exactly the way you and I probably both remember it from the '90s.

    In my opinion, an I=B=R course should be 'required' for heating professionals in this country.

    i took that one

    and it was great - recomended for all -
    even if you know the stuff, it never hurts to listen to it again from someone that knows what they are talking about,
    the day you stop being a student, is the day to hang it up

    at the time they were talking about extra evening breakout courses, on one part, like radiant for example, - whatever happend to that? - our local ZURN rep, ran one of those in a local resturant, it was of course slanted to ZURN products - as they paid for it including the food

    fundamentals

    IBR got me thinking about the whole structure and how the construction of the building effects heat loss. Seems to me its important info to be able to design a system that functions properly.

    Thanks for the feed back, Keith
