The bb pictured partially froze. Can it be repaired or is it better ripping it out? I believe it is 1940s vintage. I cant tell if a seam leak or leaking from the back. Thanx in advance, Gary

Baseboard repair
It looks like Burnham 9A board. If you think it's a seam leak you can easily take it apart and put new push nipples in and put it back together. You local Supply house will probably have the tool you need. If it's a leak other then the seam I woul rip and replace. No real way to fix the casting leak that I know of that's 100%. Hope that helps.

Have dealt with a similiar situation..only bad new's to pass on is the fact that the new baseboard is just a little off from the old...the feed and return are approximately 1/4 " different....good luck0
