Expansion tank height

I like to install the air scoop as high as possibble above the boiler with ideally an 18" straight pipe leading into it. A diaphram expansion tank can even be mounted on the floor or wall where convenient. Mostly they are installed under the air scoop, threaded into a tee that also has the feed line from the PRV attached to it.

Expansion Tank, air puger and air vent
My heating system is going to be on the same floor as the boiler. Is it okay that my Expansion Tank ,(a #30, the kind that hangs from the supply line), air purger and air vent are located on the supply line 2 feet from the boiler and 30 inches off the ground? This will be above all baseboard radiation and 95% of all 3/4 piping ( I have to go over a couple of doorways because it is a cement floor). I am running 3 circulators on 3 single loops. Any advice would be helpful. Thanks.0 -
Expansion Tank
Expansion tank can be mounted anywere EXCEPT there should be a heat loop or if you put it on the floor and run your pipe down from above.
You must prevent the heat from the hot water getting into the tank. Otherwise its shortens their life.0
