opearating a boiler at lower pressures.

I have recently finished the installation of a boiler system that has radiant floor and baseboard loops. The problem is that the supply water is 3 to 4 weeks out. I tried charging the system with a 1/4 horse pump but could only get the boiler up to 6 or 7 lbs of pressure. Can this system be operated safely at these lower pressures? A low water cut off is in place and air is sufficiently bled out of all lines. This is a new home constuction and the project manager would like to keep the project going without the high cost of kerosene. A viable option or just wait it out?

temp heat
Are you able to circulate hot water properly? As long as you maintain a LWCO what is the concern? Chances are you will have to top off the system once a week. With a lower water pressure you may develop some air bound loops.
Temporary heat is allways a dicey matter. Chances are the building is empty for extended periods of time, clarify to the ownwer wether or not you are recponcible for maintaning the system during this time frame.
Last thought, does the equipment warranty begin now?

I say the warranty starts when the boiler starts along with a check for substantal completion0
