Buderus SB-615

I priced one of these out for a school project and I was pleasantly surprised. Very reasonable indeed. Have any of you installed one of their new commercial condensing boilers? What kind of results did you get. Lou from Buderus said they have been working out quite nicely.

Any feedback?

  • Setup is key

The same can be said for ALL of the condensers out there. Very few are actually paying the attention needed for proper AFUE output.

Lou is a smart man. He's doing a great job promoting well made equipment for the North American market. If the SB series fits into your range and you are going to recieve return water temperatures worthy (below 136ºF), you've got yourself one good efficient fuel burning machine. How do they keep their prices so reasonable when compared to the other Euro condensers?

    Pricing

I don't know how they are doing the price they are but I'm NOT complaining. That price makes a commercial size condenser available to a WHOLE LOT more people than before!

    Ckeck the maintenance

required for the tubes. Once a year cleaning. Who's burner do they use? Just somethings to look at.

    On this particular model

The burner is an off the shelf Riello 70 series gas with full modulation or LHL firing. I downloaded the manual from Buderus' web site and haven't found anything other than normal maintenance requirements.
