munchkin gas leak

We have installed a new controller 925, along with this we replaced he blower motor. There is a cork gasket between the blower and the gas valve. The new controller uses variable speed for the blower. We suspect at low speeds because of the lack of vacum the gas is leaking around the joint. The original blower always ran at full speed (old controller didn't support variable speed)

Actually
the "old" Munchkin does have modulation. With the honeywell control, the burner would start at high fire, then modulate down to low fire. The 925 control starts at low fire, then modulates up to high fire. If your previous Munchkin was not modulating, then it is just as well you replaced the board. Did you fully remove the old gasket? Did you tighten the gas valve tight enough to the blower?
There are thousands of Munchkins out there, that run at low speed, and never have had a gas leak. Please re-check your installation of the fan, and make sure the gasket between the gas valve and the blower and also between the blower and the spacer block are in good shape. If you have any questions, please call us at Technical Support tommrow morning.
