Leaking Radiator
Josh
Member Posts: 6
No matter what I try, even after applying Teflon goop to the threads and tightening the connection, one of my one-pipe system radiators always leaks. Is there some kind of gasket or "packing" that I need to add? How? Where does it go?

Josh, where is it leaking? If at the union connection between the valse and the radiator, you could have a cracked or out-of-round union nut. There should be no tape or joint compound on the union face. If you have it tight and it still leaks, you may have to replace the valve and the spud.
