Indirect Hot water storage off a steam boiler

I need some input on the pros and cons of installing a indirect hot water storage system off a small steam boiler. A customer that I do work for at his company, was asking about this for his home. I know that they work great off a hot water boiler, but I have never done one off a steam boiler. I don't want to sell him this system if there is going to be problems with it. All input both pro and cons would be very helpful. This is a small Burham V8 steam system, two pipe. Thank You

    It will work, just

make sure you add a strainer to the piping. I like to pipe it all in copper, oversized and with a full size drain tee for flushing. Pumping away on the piping, circulator on the inlet to the indirect. The boiler's a V8 so it's not more than 3 years old, that's good.

Another option: (have it at home) add an external tankless heater like the Everhot EA. Same piping and control as an indirect and in my opinion works better than an indirect especially with steam, JMO.

    indirect water

You can do it 2 ways.
    1. as mentioned before an everhot tankless to a storage tank works great.
    2. You could pipe a wet-leg system. I've repiped a boiler where it was done incorrectly. It can still use same controls. You should still oversize the piping and DEFINITELY install a strainer and drain off tee to flush it periodically.
