Does anyone know about Munchkin derating for higher elevations?

Hi alt munchkins
At a factory reps meeting about the Vision system for Munchkins, the altitude / derating question was visited.
He stated "with the Munchkin power burner combustion system
it does not have to be derated for altitude." My follow up
question was; what about where the fuel gas supplier has derated the btu/cf3 to coinside with the area altitude?
Reply was "yes, that should be taken into account."
With several Munchkin installations at 5,000' plus, we have only seen superior performance.

Altitude
The Munchkin is not de-rated due to altitude, however there is a high altitude model which is available for LP gas units. It makes the unit operate with hot surface ignition.
Natural gas units require no changes, and spark ignition works quite well at any altitude.
Worst case scenario, the conversion is easy, and can be done at a minimum cost.
If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

At high elevation we supply a special premix burner that will
providea clean flame pattern so that smooth lite off and optimum efficiency will be achived.0
