Front half of house will not heat, back half of house works great but is now pulling double duty working to heat entire house. Here are the specifics...
My breaker panel has 2 different breaker sets both wired for heaters. One is wired connecting the 3 heaters of the front of the house and the other, of course, the back of the house which connects 4 heaters. The front half of the house consists of 3 rooms, living and 2 bedrooms. The 2 bedrooms are never used and the heat is always off, doors closed.
The living room, with this cold winter weather, was running non-stop until 2 weeks ago and just quit. This happened once last year but I turned it off and a day later turned it on to see what would happen and it worked great for the rest of that winter. Didn't happen this time. All it does is click at about 55 degrees and when turned off.
Wondering if it was the thermostat in the living room I went to both bedrooms and turned on the heat to see if they would heat up...nothing from them either. Now my question...Why can't I get heat?
Bad stat in living room? Baseboard heater in living room needs replaced? Bad breaker?...breaker doesn't kick off...
If 3 room heaters are linked together at 1 breaker can 1 bad stat disable all 3? Also, the stat in the living room and the stat in the kitchen are back to back, could the kitchen be running interference? (nah!??)
Please, someone help...
