UNCLEAN, UNCLEAN possible virus

Last night and tonight I received notices of undeliverable mail in my Yahoo account that I know I didn't send. Both were to heat related addresses that I don't remember ever corresponding with.
The Yahoo account seems to work well. It's free and it has virus protection (plus you can chat with a friend over a game of cribbage when they're not even at your house). I don't keep an address book on it but, apparrently, that doesn't keep other viruses from "harvesting" the address from websites.

Virus
Mark says he got a e-mail from me with a virus attachment.
I told him it was ony a cold sore but he won't believe me.
I have done a complete virus scan and found nothing, but to be save. I will NOT E-MAIL anyone for a week.

another epidemic
I've been getting an average of 5 to 25 per day the past few days. Many of the names come from The Wall, but not from the actual owners of those names. Virus creators build in stealth software to "borrow" e-mail adresses. Mine are scanned both coming and going & viruses are quaranteened before they're downloaded from the net. Poof!

And l need to mention once again,
since we've been through this before, that these emails are NOT coming from this site. Invision runs the site and it's monitored 24 hours a day by software and two live people who sit in a room here on Long Island and do nothing but watch. If you'd like to check this out, dial 631-543-1000 ex. 404 at any hour of the day or night, on any day of the year. A real techie will pick up on the first ring and answer your questions or help you. That's what they do. They watch the Invision-run sites. Invision is a big company and there is total virus protection.
The virus email that you may get comes to you because you're in someone's address book. That's how it spreads, and if we all do what Dave Yates does then it can't get onto our computers. It is NOT coming from the Wall.
Thanks.Retired and loving it.0 -
Here we go again...!
I've deleted almost 100 e-mail this morning, even the "fix" from our IT dept. came to me 4 times. The e-mail with attachment to open from some guy trying to give me $6.5 million stopped me for almost 5 seconds before I deleted it to. Easy come, easy go.

I got that one too Art!
That one with the $6.5 million was from a guy in Europe though. Usually they are from South Africa or India. There is some nasty stuff out there this week. Be careful with what you open as always.

That is an obvious scam
I received it also and thought about turning over to the FBI. They are just stealing our e-mail addresses off of our post. I am curious how they expect to make any money from their blitz e-mails.0 -
Millions
Maybe we should just take the 6.5 million. There's plenty of hot beaches and cold beer to go around.0 -
I got it too...
The 6.5 million thing, and I keep getting "you're the 50,000,000 visitor to this site - here's 50 bucks off some trip you'll never take". This is over and over... what gives, man?0 -
Not sure about
the $6.5 million thing. I would suspect that there are some rather naive people out there that would respond to that one. Probably would also supply their account and routing numbers only to find everything gone in a flash! That wouldn't work with me though.....my boys see to it that I don't have anything eztra to lose! ;-}
