I have two radiators on a steam system that are always banging, especially at night. I've cahnged the air vents, pitched the rads, checked the pressuretrol and even used a boiler cleaner. The return line is hung next to the supply line and does not have a main vent valve on it. Any ideas has to eliminate the water?

Is there
a vent on the steam main? Is the return line pitched properly? Are there two pipes connected to each radiator, or just one?
