Can I vent a gas boiler into a chimney shared with a oil burning boiler?

    Generally \"NO\"

    This is a question best asked of your aera inspector or fire department! Usually the two fuels should NOT use the same chimney.

    A rule of thumb is keep the gas flue at least 9" above the oil flue if you have to share the same chimney.
