Have any of you folks used ultrasound to discover what is truely happening in larger hot water heating systems? Looking for loss of metal in pipe diameters or threads in couplings etc. I am just curious if this non-intrusive method has any users on the wall. I have been looking into this method to see if it has merit for our company.

I'd guess
That this is a preventive maintainence application. The trick here is to sell it to the customer, the service that is. Like all service, the costs are needed to be detailed. How long does it take, how much does the equiptment cost. How much time to train the employee? . At first glance, like Mark Eatherton's measureing hydronics, Do you have the customers who need this consise of a service? bigugh0
