Flue Hole

I was examining my boiler to see what the system is and I noticed a small hole (like for a screw) in the metal flue that leads to my chiminey. Not sure if this is good or bad. Can someone advise?
Thanks!

Is it oil or gas?
If its oil often times there is a hole drilled in the side to test for combustion. You could put some foil tape on it or place a screw in it of the same size. kpc
